Can the 1217A fold a large amount of paper all at once?
Yes. By using the bypass switch on the side of the machine, the retarder can be pulled back, which enables a larger quantity of paper and stacks of documents to be passed through all at once. You can also use this feature to fold stapled paper all at once.

My paper keeps getting stuck. How can I stop this?
When using the Martin Yale Autofolder, please make sure to insert fanned stacks. This reduces any blockages in the machine, creates a smooth process for folding, and prevents the paper from getting stuck.

Does this machine fold self sealing report cards
This is a paper folder, what you are seeking is called a pressure sealer. Please contact us for recommendations and pricing!

Can this machine fold documents with staples? Staples on the top left or a multi fold with staples on left side?
Can it? Absolutely. But over time staples will wear ridges in the fold rollers and require replacement at highly accelerated rates. This applies to every paper folder and folder-inserter on the market, paper processing equipment just doesn't handle staples well.

What size fuse is needed for this unit? Mine keeps blowing each time I start it...
That's not normal behavior for a 1217A. If you contact our parts department at 301-354-3000 then they'll be able to assist with quoting fuses, but there's a broader problem occuring here that could be related to the machine, or it could be related to your power source.
