My machine does not shut off automatically. please advise.
The most common cause of this problem is so much paper dust covering the electronic sensor of the shredder that it always believes paper is inside to be shredded. This electronic eye can be found in the throat usually right in the very center. Unplug your shredder, and use canned air or a piece of cloth to wipe it off. That should resolve the problem.

What is the duty cycle of the MBM Destroyit 2445 Cross Cut Shredder,both Level 3/P-4 and Level 4/P-5. We are considering purchasing one or more of these units.
Commercial grade shredders don't have duty cycles. Certainly the more expensive ones are tougher than the cheaper ones, but you don't need to plan for obsolescence or an eventual breakdown. They will run reliably for extended periods of time, and are worth repairing instead of replacing when something breaks. The real question is if your operators are going to okay with such a small shredder. If they intend to use it for several hours per day this might be too small, but if it's just being shared by a few people then it would probably be fine.
