The particles are 1/32 x 3/16 inches in size, exceeding the highest DIN security level. This DOD approved shredder is NSA evaluated and meets NSA/CSS Specification 02-01 for high security cross cut paper shredders. It is highly efficient with the ability to shred 16 sheets at a time, a substantial amount for a level 6/P-7 model.

The 3105 SMC paper shredder utilizes the same convenient features as the 3105 strip cut and cross cut models, including the "SPS" elements, ECC indicator to prevent paper jamming and automatic oil injection system to ensure optimum performance. This also facilitates high durability, as does protection against overheating, dust-proof gear box housing and lifetime warranty on the high quality shredder head.
