Start feeding your documents into the 10 ¼" paper opening. The Datastroyer 402 will automatically begin shredding your papers, breaking them down into 1/16" x 9/16"cross cut particles. Solid steel cutters rip through 13* sheets per pass. After the last sheet is detected, the Datastroyer 402 will immediately cease shredding.

The i-Control electronic control panel features backlit icons that indicate operational status to the user. You can be instantly alerted to when the shred bag is full, a jam occurs, or when the cabinet door is open. This i-control also features an ON/OFF button, as well as Forward/Reverse functions. The reverse function is vital for repairing potential paper jams. The DLS (Dynamic Load Sensor) aids in preventing paper jams and overfeeding. Colored lights indicate sheet levels and warn the user when these levels become too high. Paper and media can be destroyed and separated thanks to the 2x2 Cut and Collect system. CDs/DVDs, credit cards, and more can be fed through a separate slot, and the plastic particles will be separated from the paper waste. This separation of waste makes the Datastroyer 402 environmentally-friendly and perfect for recycling purposes.

	Silentec: Sound dampening materials and a spring-mounted shredder block are built into the shredder to absorb sound and reduce noise pollution in your office.
	DLS (Dynamic Load Sensor): DLS detects the volume of paper being fed into the cutting unit. This functions to prevent users from attempting to shred too much at once.
