Description of the Akiles ProLam Ultra-XL Laminator

The biggest laminator from Akiles, the ProLam Ultra-XL has an incredible throat capacity of 18.9" and can laminate up to 47" per minute. Although it is the biggest, it still remains as a convenient desktop laminator that sit atop of any table or desk. The ProLam Ultra-XL does not require any trimming nor does it produce wasted film.

There are many advantages to pouch lamination, including the convenience of fitted film. Instead of having to cut away excess film (that is ultimately wasted), fit items to sized pouches. And a bigger desktop laminator simply offers a wider range of pouch sizes. The XL is the only Akiles laminator that can process items 18" wide (map size: 18" x24" ) as well as all smaller sizes. Because of its wide throat capacity, it's easier to laminate smaller items side by side for maximum productivity, saving time and effort. Easily fit items to pouches and never have to struggle with extra film again.

The ProLam Ultra-XL has 2 programmable memory settings that retain temperature and speed preferences for more frequently used settings. Use the setting guide to determine the best temperature and speed for different thicknesses for the most professional looking results. An LCD control panel displays settings controlled by easy to use buttons that change temperature, speed, and memory settings. It has a six-roller system (4 hot, 2 cold) that ensures a clear finish. The air cooling system stays cool to the touch so users are not injured by hot surfaces. And to maintain machine longevity, it engages auto-shut off after usage.
