Description of HSM Securio P36 OMDD L6 Optical Media Shredder
Evaluated and approved by the NSA, this TAA Compliant shredder/perforator offers a continuous duty motor for continual shredding with no downtime requirement. This level 6/P-7 high security shredder breaks down your top secret and confidential files into 1/32" x 3/16" particles. Accepting between 12-14 sheets at a time, the HSM Securio P36 OMDD creates 12,065 particles per page destroyed. Simply put: reassembling these high security particles is impossible. Unlike most high security office shredders, the HSM Securio P36 high security shredder offers a separate slot for destroying optical media including credit cards and CDs. Any highly confidential data stored on these items is transformed into tiny particles.
A convenient multifunctional display unit features icons that illuminate to indicate operational status. Icons include paper jam, bin full, door open, metal detection, button lock, and more! No need to be alarmed if a paper jam occurs. The JamStop Anti-Jam technology detects the problem and automatically switches this unit into reverse to rectify the jam. The 38.3 gallon shredder bag fits on a pull-out frame for quick and easy disposal. When this bag is full, the icon will illuminate and operation will halt. After emptying shredded waste, a light will appear if the cabinet door is not fully closed. This enclosed cabinet provides low noise and dust-free operation.
Maintenance is vital for any high security shredder. An integrated oiler automatically lubricates the cutting head, keeping the shredder running in optimal condition. After a period of inactivity, the shredder will slip into stand-by mode. Once in stand-by, the EMCS (Energy Management Control System) reduces power consumption by up to 90%. This switch to energy-saving mode will happen 2 minutes after last use of the machine, and the shredder switches off completely if its not used for 4 hours. Users may reactivate the shredder at any time by simply feeding paper or pressing the power button.
The mid-sized, HSM Securio P36 OMDD weighs 163 lbs. and offers dimensions of 21.7" D x 22.8" W x 36.9" H. However, this high security shredder offers the same whisper quiet operation as any of the smaller office units thanks to the Whisper Shred technology. HSM Securio (Models AF150, AF300, AF500, B22, B24, B26, B32, B34, B35, P36i, P40i, P44i) – Office / Large Office / Department Shredders
Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from the date of invoice.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
