Description of the HSM Pure 830 Cross Cut Shredder
Powerful and reliable, the Pure 830 model is designed for large departments ideally for 6-11 users. Despite its size, weighing at 148 lbs. with dimensions being 37.5" x 22.7" x 21.5", this machine is easily mobile with sturdy castors at the bottom. Powered by a 115 V plug that fits with any standard wall outlet, its powerful motor allows for continuous operation with minimal noise for less disruption in the workplace. Keeping in mind the environment, there is a practical automatic stop/start feature as well as very low power consumption while in standby mode. Once the 39.6 gallon shred-bin is full, there will be a light indicator that alerts the user to take out the waste via the removable shred-bin so there's no need to physically check.
The cutting rollers are made of hardened steel and come with a lifetime warranty, so they will easily slice through documents regardless of paper clips, staples, or windowed envelopes at a rate of 19.5 feet/min at 38-40 sheets per run in. The resulting cross-cut shred size will end up being 3/16" x 1-1/8" meeting security level P-4.

HSM Pure (Models 420, 530, 630, 740, 830, 940) – Office/Large Office/Department Shredders
Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to two (2) years from date of invoice. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from the date of invoice.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
