The Akiles ProLam Plus series uses a heated roller system that allows for balanced heat distribution during the laminating process. This system guarantees crystal clear and bubble-free efficient lamination results.

Akiles believes that the ProLam Plus 330 is the next generation of pouch laminators. In addition to a 13" lamination capacity, this system also comes with adjustable PCB heat control, silicone rollers, hot/cold lamination capabilities, and Akiles' trademark metal construction. Compared to other laminators, the Akiles ProLam Plus 330 features a dual heat system. Through its heated rollers and heated platens, the ProLam Plus 330 provides more even heat distribution and reduces heat dissipation. This type of dissipation is a common problem pouch laminators face due to pouch composition with a standard pouch thickness.

Akiles' ProLamPlus 330 takes lamination jobs to new heights with its exceptional presentation. In order to achieve a smoother look, the pouch is heated by a roller system that applies heat uniformly to the pouch. This sort of lamination shines out when photos and ink-jet printouts are under process. Its wide 13" lamination capacity allows for easy pouch feeding, which makes the product a great choice. For optimal output, Akiles recommends purchasing a roller and plate laminator like this model with a dual heat system for a double effect on heat.

ProLam Plus 330 is Akiles' big brother of the ProLam 160. It has silicone-coated rollers that are designed to run either with or without a carrier for maximum flexibility. Heavy-duty laminating that is hot or cold can be done using the heat/cold switch, which is denoted by indicator lights. Take a look at the Akiles ProLam Plus 330 if you're looking for a flexible pouch laminator that can laminate letter-sized or smaller items without the need for frequently changing equipment or tuning the temperature.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What is the difference between a laminating sheet and a laminating pouch?

Though the laminating industry often uses the terms interchangeably, laminating pouches and laminating sheets are distinct. Lamination pouches and lamination sheets both contain polyester and adhesive; however, lamination pouches often have a higher polyester to adhesive ratio.

  • Can you use any laminating pouches in a laminator?

The thickness of laminating pouches ranges from 1.5 to 10 mil, and not all machines can handle all thicknesses. Your documents will be more protected if you use thicker supplies (which is important if they'll be handled often).

  • Can you insert laminated paper through the machine twice?

When the laminator is completely heated, laminated paper can be sent through once again. Occasionally, this strategy can heat the bottom layer as well, causing it to stick to the paper. As a result, air bubbles are removed from the product. This lamination process can also be used to make an item thicker.
