Description of the Intimus 130CP7 Shredder

Guaranteed for absolute data security, the Intimus 130CP7 is designed for high security destruction. This high performance level 6/P-7 shredder accepts approximately 4-6 sheets per pass, reducing your documents to 0.8mm x 4.5mm particles. Like any level 6/P-7, the Intimus 130CP7 will only accept paper. Other materials, such as staples, paper clips, CDs, etc, will cause significant damage to the cutting head.

One of the most popular features on this Intimus shredder is the i-Control advanced user control panel. This comprehensive system of back-lit icons indicates operational status and controls the shredder's functions. Standard functions include an on/off button, as well as a forward and reverse button. Symbols featured on this panel include user lock activated, service required, door open, bin full, and motor overheated.

Located in the feed opening is another technological advancement popular amongst shredder users: the Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS). This system strives to prevent overfeeding and potential paper jams by detecting the volume of paper being fed into the shredder. Similar to a traffic light system, a light strip located in the paper feed area changes colors and indicates appropriate sheet capacity levels. While green lights designate approved levels, red lights warn users against jams or further problems. Despite the success of the DLS, paper jams are near impossible to avoid. The Intimus 130CP7 has you covered, automatically switching into reverse mode when overloaded. The unit will continue to run in reverse until the jam is repaired. The i-Control also features an icon to alert the user of a paper jam.

The EcoLogic energy management system puts your 130CP7 into sleep mode after a period of idleness. Unlike stand-by mode which continues to consume power, the sleep mode automatically reduces the shredder's power usage to zero. Simply press the center button located on the i-Control to resume operational status.

The Intimus 130CP7 weighs a sizeable 147 lbs. (67 kg) and offers dimensions of 25.98" W x 16.92" D x 40.15" H. With a shredder this heavy, you may be thinking this unit would be rather difficult to move. On the contrary, the Intimus 130CP7 is mounted on sturdy casters for easy relocation and flexible use around the office. The large shredder bin located in the dustproof cabinet holds a considerable amount of shred waste (about 34 gallons/130 liters). Thanks to the minuscule shred particles, this means far less bag changes and workflow interruption.
