Description of the Formax FD 8714HS High Security Optical Media Shredder

The Formax FD 8714HS offers high-security optical media destruction in a compact, mobile unit. It meets the NSA/CSS requirements for High-Security Optical Media Destruction Devices and is EPL listed.

The cutting system shreds up to 800 discs per hour into 2mm x 2mm or less particle sizes, making it the perfect solution for top secret and classified shredding of CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. An easy-to-use LED control panel puts the power right at your fingertips, including AutoStart/Stop, and Auto Reverse to clear the in-feed. In addition, the ECO Mode saves energy by automatically switching into standby mode after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Standard features for the FD 8714HS include a geared chain-driven cutting head, heavy-duty all-metal cabinet with casters, and rugged molded plastic lifetime guaranteed waste bin. It also includes the EvenFlow™ Automatic Internal Oiling System that lubricates the cutting blades automatically during use. The FD 8714HS is a rugged, user-friendly high-security solution to destroy optical media, ensuring top secret data remains top secret, and out of the wrong hands.
