Description of the Fellowes Powershred 79Ci Cross Cut

The compact Fellowes 79Ci is recommended for deskside use. This is a small shredder perfect for low volume shredding in either a personal or business environment. Don't let its size fool you, though - the 79Ci can still shred up to 14 sheets per pass at a rate of 11 feet per minute. This is quite a rapid pace for a personal shredder, but make sure not to overwork the machine - the 79Ci performs best when it is run for no more than 12 minutes consecutively. Paper, credit cards, CDs and staples will all be shred to level 3 security with this powerful little machine.

  • Is this device approved by GSA for unclassified papers

    The NSA recommends that all government documents be shredded in a Level 6/P-7 shredder regardless of classification level. The security level of the 79Ci is not consistent with that recommendation. Whether you still want to use it is at your discretion.
