Description of the Akiles FlexiCloser 2 Automatic Wire Closer

The FlexiCloser by Akiles is the first of its kind automatic wire closer. The FlexiCloser utilizes the Smart Detect System which automatically senses the wire size being used and adjusts the closing pressure accordingly. Foolproof and easy to use, just place the wire in the built in wire holder and insert your documents. Take the inserted documents and place the open end of the wire against the magnetic back strip. This strip will hold the wire securely in place during closing. Then simple push the button and the FlexiCloser will apply the right amount of pressure for your selected wire size. The all metal closing plate has a built in safety sensor for reliable, worry-free closing. It works with 3:1 and 2:1 wire pitch up to 1 ½". The FlexiCloser also features a Micro-Adjust keypad and LCD control panel which allows the user to manually increase or decrease the closure distance for different wire brands and types, it even memorizes specific settings.

For greater speed and productivity the FlexiCloser can be set to High Efficiency mode which adjusts the closing plate so it only returns half way so large jobs can be completed up to 30% faster. An optional mount (sold separately) is also available that will allow the FlexiCloser to be mounted on the FlexiPunch Modular Punch for a complete punch and bind system.
