The 16" wide feed opening can accept oversized documents as well as standard paper, shredding your files into security level 6/P-7, 1/32 x 3/16 inch particles. This machine allows you to shred your sensitive documents securely without sacrificing your valuable time. Tested at the highest throughput of 8 sheets per pass, the Destroyit 4005 SMC can quickly complete large shredding jobs and has shredded as many as 12 sheets per pass! As an added bonus, MBM offers a one year warranty on the SMC's steel cutting shafts.

The shredder's high-quality wooden cabinet is mounted on sturdy swivel casters that make relocating trouble-free. This is imperative when dealing with a shredder as large as this one - over three feet tall and 390 pounds! The heavy-duty plastic shred bin holds the tiny level 6/P-7 particles which take up hardly any room, so you will go longer between bag changes than anyone else!

For safety purposes, the Destroyit 4005 SMC comes with the "SPS" (Safety Protection System), which includes a safety guard to cover the feed opening and defend against harmful shredding. The 4005 also has the capability to auto-reverse in the event of a paper jam, and auto-shut down when the bin is full or door is open. The "Easy Switch"control activates the shredder and features back-lit icons that automatically light up when the cabinet door is ajar, shred bin is full, or if the safety shield is not fully shut.
