Description of the Ideal Triumph 6655 Paper Cutter
Precision and safety. These are the two qualities Ideal strives to achieve with each paper cutter built. The Triumph 6655 is no different. With the standard SCS safety system and new technological advancements, the Triumph 6655 digital paper cutter is reliable and easy to use. The 25-3/5" cutting length and 3" cutting height tolerates a range of formats and applications. The Triumph 6655 performs a narrow cut of about 1" (0.98" to be precise). Place stacks of paper onto the front cutting table and close the hinged safety guard. This safety shield is transparent and easily swings out of the way during paper placement. When the cutting process begins, this safety guard will lock to prevent potential harmful operation. A clear safety cover also exists on the rear table for added security.
The Easy Cut system provides safe, true two-hand operation. The blade and clamp can be activated independently thanks to the two-step activating bars. Separate trigger points on these bars allow the clamp to come down before cutting commences. The user-friendly touchpad replaces the standard keypad control panel. This multilingual touch pad is capable of storing up to 99 programs with up to 99 steps each into memory. The electronic control module operates the power backgauge for precise measurements. For manula positioning, the Triumph 6655 offers an electronic hand wheel with infinitely variable speed control (from very slow to very fast). For added efficiency, the control module features pre-programmed DIN sizes and automatic memory for repeat cuts. Bright LEDs display an optical cutting line on the paper stack, revealing exactly where the cut will be performed. This line helps the operator align cutting marks for an accurate cut.
Each Triumph paper cutter comes with the Safety Cutting System (SCS), which provides absolute user safety during operation and service. What does this SCS entail? While the safety guards and two-hand operation were already described, the SCS encompasses much more. Standard features include the patented IDEAL safety drive, the tamper-proof 24-volt controls, main switch, and safety lock with key. Servicing the cutter can be completed in a secure manner. The blades and sticks can be removed and changed without taking off any of the machine casings. An easy to use blade-changing device covers the cutting edge of the blade to help prevent dangerous removal. Cutting sticks are very easy to replace or turn from the side of the machine. The practical hook-in tool holder located on the back table keeps all necessary tools for blade change and service jobs within reach. Optional side tables are available for added working space.
