The Series 2 Ameri-Shred industrial strip cut shredders are medium duty industrial shredders that are designed similar to the light-duty industrial shredders. However, the Series 2 industrial shredders are equipped with 20% greater throughput than the series 1 model AMS 750. The AMS 1000/15 is designed for high volume shredding. Despite it's somewhat smaller 16" infeed conveyor, it is coupled with an 84" side feed table, which allows for shredding a large amount of materials at once. The series 2 industrial shredders can also shred a wide variety of materials, With this industrial shredder, you can shred materials into 3 different widths: 5/16" , 3/8" and 1/2". The AMS 1000/15 has a 15 horsepower motor which allows for it to shred at a very fast speed of 94 feet per minute. It's powerful motors also allow for the AMS1000/15 to shred up to 3500 lbs. every hour! The series 2 industrial shredders' high efficiency motors make the series 2 shredders efficient and powerful industrial shredders. Each shred size changes how much material the AMS 1000/15 can shred per hour. When shredding material into 5/16" strips, the AMS 1000/15 can shred 2,000-2,500 lbs. every hour. If you want to shred material into 3/8" shreds, this industrial shredder has the ability to shred 2,500-3,000 lbs. in an hour. For the larger 1/2" size shreds, the AMS 1000/15 has the capacity to shred 3,000-3,700 lbs. of material every hour.

The AMS 1000/15 is about 76" long, 52" wide, and 56" in height which makes this industrial shredder seem very difficult to use. However, despite its large and complicated design, it is very easy to operate. If you're concerned with maintenance that comes with industrial shredders, the AMS 1000 is the perfect industrial shredder for you. It will require very little maintenance from you, but when it does, the AMS 1000/15 has easy to move, lift off panels which makes fixing any issues quick and easy. However, the AMS 1000/15 comes with an automatic lubrication system that will prevent paper jams from occurring by lubricating the cutters with oil automatically. It's spur gears also run in oil bath so the gears are always running smoothly. Overall, the AMS 1000/15 will have very little maintenance issues.
