Description of the MBM 87M Paper Folder

The MBM 87M is one of our smaller paper folders, yet offers many of the same folding options of larger folders. It is a great value for lower volumes. This manual paper folder is easy to store due to its collapsible feed table, and the color-coded graphics on the fold plates make it quick and easy to set up. It has 2 different fold speeds, 100 or 120 sheets per minute, with a sheet capacity of 150. On the top, there is a separate opening for manual feeding that takes up to 3 sheets of paper at a time, even stapled sheets.

The 87M paper folder can fold up to 80 lb paper, equal to the 207A, and the rare jam is easy to fix with the rotary knob. When the last sheet is folded, the machine comes to an automatic stop, and the safety switch turns off the motor when the top is open or plates are not in position. This MBM folder is a greatly priced unit that is perfect for an office that folds at lower volumes.

  • When the machine for a ltr size sheet in half, the folded side is bent. Why is that?

    There are a few different possible reasons for that malfunction. The easiest to fix is that one of the fold rollers is worn down unevenly causing drift during the folding process, but it could be other things too. An 87M is at least 14 years old at this point, probably even more, so it is unlikely to be worth repairing. Please consider the 98M which was its replacement that can be found on our website.
