Description of the Formax FD 8804 Strip Cut Industrial Shredder

The Formax FD 8804 Strip Cut Industrial Shredder is designed for large volume shredding and has features that will keep it running efficiently. It can shred up to 125 sheets into 1/2" strips at 50 feet per minute. The motor will stop if the 49 gallon waste bin is full or if the cabinet door is opened. This shredder weighs 727 pounds and has a sizeable footprint. To save space the cabinet door is on the front of the shredder, allowing it to be placed against a wall. The LED control panel has indicators that will notify the user of either of these conditions. Other safety features include the keyed on/off switch that prevents unauthorized use of the shredder and the large orange safety bar that allows the user to immediately stop the motor if necessary. The LED panel allows users to run the shredder in manual and automatic modes. In manual, the motor runs non-stop. In automatic, the motor will stop and start as optical sensors detect paper. The LED panel will display how much of the shred capacity is being used at any given time, preventing jams from user error and promoting efficiency. If there is a paper jam the 8804 will automatically reverse the motor to clear it.
