Description of the Datastroyer 1628 Cross Cut Shredder
The Datastroyer 1628 Cross Cut paper shredder shreds paper down to a confetti cut particle size of 1/8” x 2”. This shredder has an additional feed slot for shredding floppy disks and credit cards. The cross cut version of the 1628 is a perfect choice copy rooms and other centralized locations for shredding. The cross cut shredder model is usually chosen for documents containing personally identifiable and sensitive information.
The lineup of Datastroyer shredders are made to last for years. They separate themselves from most office supply brands with their thermally protected motors, and specially hardened steel cutting cylinders. Other built-in features that add to the shredder’s durability include automatic overfeeding assistance and an enclosed housing to prevent dust buildup.

Rock Solid Shredder!

By DreamStream - This was purchased to do one big "purge" of medical records, and then serve as a central shredder for the rest of it's life. It's got more power than any shredder we've ever had in the building and the shred residue meets our HIPAA requirements. It looks like they cut out a lot of the flashing lights and indicators that are popular on shredders nowadays - if you're into that stuff then this machine won't impress you. But of all the machines we considered none of them could shred this many sheets at one time for the price.
