Description of HSM Securio P44 1/8" Strip Cut Shredder
Capable of destroying documents, accessory materials such as staples and paper clips, and even media such as CDs/DVDs, floppy disks, and USB sticks, consider the HSM Securio P44 strip cut shredder for your office. The optimized cutting technology shreds between 61-63 sheets of paper at once, creating 56 strips per page. The 1/8" strips of paper fall directly into the generous 55 gallon shred bag. This high gallon capacity is perfect for these strips, as they will fill up the bag quicker than cross cut particles. Media, such as credit cards, floppy disks, and CDs/DVDs, can be fed through a separate slot. This keeps plastic and paper waste separated. To check if the bag is full, no need to open the cabinet door and take a peek. Rather, users can simply look through the convenient inspection window. When this reusable bag does reach full capacity, an icon on the multifunctional operation button will illuminate. The multifunctional display unit also includes icons full door open, paper jam, button lock, metal detection, and more! Users need only check the display unit for updates on operational status.
If and when a paper jam occurs, the JamStop Anti-Jam technology springs into action to fight through this problem. By switching the HSM Securio P44 into reverse mode, JamStop works to force out the jammed paper and restore smooth operation. The UL Approved and CE-Certified Comprehensive Safety System maintains the highest level of user safety. The folding element covers the feed opening to prevent unintentional intake. Operation automatically stops if pressure is applied to this folding element.
The large HSM Securio P44 level 2/P-2 shredder weighs a hefty 238 lbs. Despite its size, the P44 emits the same low noise levels as one of HSM's personal office shredders. This is due to the closed gear mechanism and the Whisper Shred technology. After a period of inactivity, the Securio P44 enters stand-by mode. For increased energy-efficiency, the Energy Management Control System reduces power by up to 90% when the shredder is in stand-by mode. To reactivate the unit, the user can begin feeding documents or simply press the operation button. The HSM Securio P44 strip cut level 2/P-2 is ideal for entire departments and office floors with low security level requirements.

HSM Securio (Models AF150, AF300, AF500, B22, B24, B26, B32, B34, B35, P36i, P40i, P44i) – Office / Large Office / Department Shredders
Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from the date of invoice.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
