Description of the Cumberland 2062 Granulator (2000 Series)

Diversity, flexibility, and power are the hallmarks of the Cumberland 2062 Granulator. As the largest model in the 2000 Series of granulators, the Cumberland 2062 can manage an impressive throughput of 2600 pounds per hour and can be upgraded with many impressive features. The standard system features a low feed height hopper that is hand fed at a 70" feed height. Materials head into the enormous (20" x 62") cutting chamber and are then processed by the rotor and bed knives. The offset cutting chamber features the two Twinshear bed knives that are single edged and made of HCHC. The rotor has the three knife Twinshear steep angle HCHC blades. The powerful 75HP V belt driven motor can be supported by the use of an optional flywheel, but even without it, it is capable of handling a large range of thermoforming or other scrap materials. The drop down screen cradles and the hydraulic tilt mechanism on the hopper ensure that this unit can be maintained in complete safety and that everything is very simple and easy to manage. The standard 10" Airveyor discharge chute also guarantees that no jams occur.

In terms of options, the Cumberland 2062 Granulator can be heavily upgraded to improve its already impressive performance. There can be a blower, infeed conveyor, different voltages on the controls, various screen sizes are available to accommodate production needs, a dual flywheel drive can be added to an extended rotor shaft to help with heavy duty applications, up to 100HP motors are available, a sound enclosure cabinet can be used, five knife rotors are available, a wear resistance package can be requested, a conveyor belt can be added to the hopper, and special fly or paddle wheels can be used for the infeed. Clearly, the Cumberland 2062 can meet a lot of needs and demands. This particular unit comes with a powerful array of functions and gear. This makes it a good solution directly out of the box, but it can be upgraded to make it even more powerful or flexible. It is a strong solution for thermoform regrinding and size reduction, but the ability to add a flywheel and more powerful motor ensures that it can tackle even more challenging applications.
