The 2270 strip cut Destroyit paper shredder is very comparable to the 2260 model but with more shredding flexibility. There are 2 cutting heads with separate feed openings, one accepting paper and the other for CDs. Its capability to shred CDs makes the 2270 strip cut useful, especially if you are looking to shred a variety of material. This desk-side machine also shreds credit cards, paper clips and staples. With a single button, you can turn off the shredder, put it in standby mode or switch the motor to reverse to prevent jamming. The 2270 strip cut automatically begins shredding when the photo cells sense paper being fed. The hardened steel cutting head is guaranteed to last and is backed by MBM's lifetime warranty.
The 8 ¾" feed opening accepts up to 12 sheets of paper at once, and its 3/16 inch strip width earns it a security level of 2.
