Description of the Standard 4040 X4

The Standard 4040 X4 Cross Cut shredder is compliant with FACTA-level security (level 3 or higher) and its shred size meets the requirements for shredding confidential documents. It shreds up to 10 sheets of paper at a time to level 4 security particles (1/12'' x 9/16''). It is exceptionally fast, able to produce shred output at 50 feet per minute with its 1 1/2 horsepower motor. Its continuous motor allows for prolonged shredding without any cool-down time.The 4040 X4 can shred through staples and paper clips.

The 4040 X4 weighs almost 180 pounds and is 33.5'' tall, 25.5'' wide, and 17'' deep with a throat width of 16''. Because it is a cross cut shredder with a 35 gallon waste capacity, it lasts a long time between bag changes. All Standard shredders come with a lifetime warranty. This heavy shredder moves with casters and and has automatic features including on/off, bag full detection, and reverse for paper jams.
