Description of the Formax 6404 Folder Inserter
As a three station inserter, the FD 6404-Special 3F comes equipped with 1 Special Feeder, 1 Standard Feeder and 1 High Capacity Document Feeder. Both the special and standard feeders are capable of holding up to 325 sheets at a time, allowing you to process a total of 650 sheets with these feeders alone. The high-capacity document feeder holds an incredible 725 sheets. High-capacity decreases the amount of time you have to reload the 6404, saving you time and effort. The user-friendly color touchscreen can be reversed and used on opposite sides. This control panel indicates operational status and allows you to program up to 25 jobs into memory. For fast and effective setup, the AutoSet mode is ideal. By automatically sensing paper length, envelope size, and fold length, the AutoSet function configures the appropriate settings before processing your job. Choose between sealing and non-sealing options depending on your project. Double documentation detection ensures that your inserting project will remain secure. A special Diverter offers sensors that redirect double documents and incomplete sets without interrupting or complicating your project. In regards to the folding capabilities, the 6404-Special 3F is capable of folding up to 10 sheets of paper in Half-fold and up to 8 sheets in Tri-fold.
