Description of HSM Securio B24 L4 Cross Cut Shredder
The easy to operate HSM Securio B24 shredder offers an integrated light barrier that automatically starts and stops the shredder. As a level 4/P-5 shredder, the Securio B24 accepts fewer sheets per pass than its level 3/P-4 and P-2 counterparts. Users may continuously feed between 11-13 sheets at a time into the 9.5" throat opening. Despite its low sheet capacity, this HSM model produces small 1/16" x 9/16" pieces, a total of 2,116 micro-cut particles per page. This level 4/P-5 shredders is perfect for those who want a smaller shred size, but still posses the ability to destroy staples and paperclips. On top of paper, staples, and paper clips, the Securio B24 even tackles credit cards or store cards. This is due to the 100% solid steel cutting cylinder, which guarantees a long service life. The waste container, which holds up to 9 gallons, is easy to remove and features an inspection window for monitoring shred level.
The features of this unit are as impressive as the capabilities. The multifunctional operation button enables intuitive use of the machine. Icons will illuminate when the bin is full, bin is ajar, or when there is a paper jam. Paper jams are easily dealt with thanks to the JamStop Anti-Jam technology, which switches the unit into reverse mode when a jam is detected and will continue to run in reverse until the problem is remedied.
The Energy Management Control System reduces power consumption by up to 90% when this unit is in stand-by mode. The closed gear mechanism, partnered with the Whisper Shred technology, ensures quiet operation. The comprehensive safety system and safety folding element promise user safety. This folding element prevents unintentional intake and the shredder will automatically shut off should pressure be applied.

HSM Securio (Models AF150, AF300, AF500, B22, B24, B26, B32, B34, B35, P36i, P40i, P44i) – Office / Large Office / Department Shredders
Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from the date of invoice.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
