Description of the Intimus PacMate Cardboard Shredder

Rather than disposing of unused cardboard, which can become very costly, the PacMate offers an alternative. By shredding this spare cardboard, the PacMate creates a shock-absorbent padding perfect for stuffing in packages or boxes. Shipping departments can use this packing material for transporting fragile or sensitive goods. Working with one layer of cardboard at a time, the PacMate breaks down your material into a 1/8" x 4 ½" grid cut padding.

The manual rocker-switch controls on, off, and reverse functions. Operation is simple: turn the machine on with the rocker-switch and the cutting system will begin running forward. Start feeding the strips into the special cutting system, producing the packaging pads via the inlet guide. Remove the finished product from the rear of the machine after processing is complete.

For easy collection of the processed cardboard, the PacMate features a pull-out metal frame meant for a disposable plastic waste bag. Located on the rear of the machine, simply pull out the metal frame and hang the plastic bag into the frame and secure it to the two hooks at the side of the housing. Fold the edge of the bag over the frame from the inside out and allow the shredded scraps to fall into the bag.

Finding a place for this cardboard shredder is relatively easy thanks to its compact size of 12 19/32" D x 15 1/2" W x 23" H. The Intimus PacMate can fit conveniently on any tabletop in your shipping department or warehouse. Need to relocate this cardboard shredder? At 84 lbs., the PacMate is rather portable if relocation is necessary. Noisy operation can interrupt workflow and cause aggravation throughout your work area. The Intimus PacMate is not only powerful, but features low volume operation (62-68 db).

Ditch over paying for packing materials and instead invest in a cardboard shredder to repurpose and recycle leftover cardboard. The Intimus PacMate tabletop cardboard shredder provides a fantastic solution to your low volume shredding needs.

Q: How often do you have to sharpen and/or replace the blades on the Intimus Pacmate cardboard shredder?
A: Contrary to popular belief, shredder don't actually 'slice' paper and later require sharpening. Instead the paper is pressed between two rotating cylinders and naturally separates itself. That's why you will never see a paper shredder dealer/manufacturer advertising a blade sharpening service. There are no blades. So to answer your question - never. The cutting cylinders on the Intimus PacMate do not have to be sharpened nor do they have a set lifespan.
