The Cumberland 6x8 Auger-Fed Granulator is the smallest in the line, yet can handle heavy-duty and continuous applications. Whether your manufacturing process includes sprue, thermoformed web, small parts, or blow-molded scrap, the unique design of this machine will provide uniform granulate and optimal efficiency. It begins with oversized auger and infeed openings that allow the hopper to accept materials at an uninterrupted pace, and without typical concerns around jamming. This is due to the "reversing flight" of the one-piece auger that allows the unit to operate without any possibilities for wrap around that is a common concern for those using auger systems. It uses a heavy duty auger chain drive to ensure consistency in power and performance too.

Materials enter the cutting chamber that features a slant cut shearing design, hinged lid (for easy cleaning and repair), and a screen drawer for immediate access and maintenance. The three slanted rotor knives and the two counter slanted bed knives create a reliable shearing action which ensures that the machine will not jam and that the size reduction is consistent and uniform. Of course, the Corten reversible screen with a fixed 8mm opening is also part of the process, and helps to keep maintenance and replacement parts in check. The 6x8 Auger-Fed Granulator operates on a 2.2 to 3.7 kW motor that allows it to handle up to 80kg of throughput in an hour. The output is captured in a standard discharge bin, but there are many options available for this handy machine.
