Among the Formax AP Address Printers, the Formax AP3 Monochrome Digital Address Printer is a mid-range model than can print up to 26,000 #10 envelopes per hour or up to 34,000 postcards. Like the other models it features a large 4.5” color touchscreen with adjustable backlight for full control of all functions and a 16GB memory that can store and recall commonly used print settings. As well as a batch / job /lifetime counter that keeps track of all printed pieces.
The AP3 uses 2 two independent 1.5” print heads use 6 thermal inkjet cartridges simultaneously to produce an image area up to 3”H x 17”L, with available overlap, and can be adjusted to a maximum vertical print range of 11”. Additional inks are available to print on a wide variety of coated and uncoated media. The AP3 offers several different single-pass layout options :
