Description of the Royal 1480MX Cross Cut Shredder
The Royal 1840MX is an ideal deskside and personal shredder for any home office. Operation is simple. The 1840MX will automatically start when paper is fed and stop when the last sheet is destroyed. If a paper jam occurs, this shredder automatically switches into reverse mode to remedy the jam. Shredding about 18* sheets per pass, the Royal 1840MX offers a continuous run time of 40 minutes. This heavy-duty commercial grade shredder destroys not only paper, but also staples, paper clips, credit cards, CD’s and DVD’s. Your paper and accessory materials are broken down into 5/32" x 1 3/8” particles. These shredded particles fall into a 9 gallon pullout wastebasket with a window, allowing the user to see exactly when the bin needs to be emptied.
Weighing 42 lbs., the Royal 1840MX is pretty easy to relocate. For even easier mobility, this shredder is equipped with casters. Lock these casters prior to shredding to prevent movement during operation. With 14.5" x 18.5" x 26.5" dimensions, the Royal 1840MX is compact enough to fit conveniently in any home or small office.

By R.S. Sheridan - It's nothing like what we have at work but it's all I need for home use. Just shredding mail every day and personal stuff from time to time - it hasn't given me any trouble so far and I'm very pleased with the performance. I have this shredder in front of me right now and it's chewing up 20 pieces of plain white paper all at once! The specs say it only takes 18! Did I get lucky?
