Description of the Royal 1600MX Cross Cut Shredder

The 1600MX shredder from Royal is equipped with a sturdier motor and body, ideal for home office/personal shredding uses. It can take on staples, cards, and even CDs/DVDs without breaking down, as well as paper. The pull-out waste basket conveniently collects shredded particles and holds up to 7 gallons of waste so users empty it less often. The bin has a small viewing window so users can see the bin fill. And just so there aren’t any damages to the shredder, the 1600MX will not shred when the bin is full and must be inserted back into place after removal. Particle sizes are 5/32” x 1 ½”, a safe option for private information. Shred up to 16 sheets (20 lb) per pass up to 8 7/8” wide at a speed of up to 9 sheets per second.

Controlling the 1600MX is simple. With only 3 buttons (on/off, forward, and reverse), users only need to feed the shredder after turning it on.The LED light of the on/off button lights up green when the 1600MX is ready to start shredding. Photo sensors will detect when paper is inserted and engage auto-start/auto-stop. Auto-reverse and jam-free rollers maintain machine life. An LCD display displays ‘ready auto’, ‘forward’, ‘reverse’, ‘bin full’, ‘overload’, and ‘overheat’ to alert users (and extend machine life). If overloaded, the 1600MX stops shredding to prevent jams and damage to the shredder. The Royal 1600MX is a competent shredder at an affordable price. Casters make moving the shredder a breeze, and even lock to keep the 1600MX stationary so users can place the 1600MX anywhere.
