The “No Scrap” Automatic Letter Opener from Martin Yale is an ideal opener for moderate volumes. The machine opens envelopes at an incredibly fast pace: up to 12,000 envelopes per hour. This hands-free operation automatically feeds and opens stacks of envelopes up to 3” thick and can open individual envelopes up to ¼” thick. All the user must do is place the stack of envelopes that need to be opened in front of the feeder and the machine does the rest for you.

The “No Scrap” Automatic Letter Opener does exactly that: it leaves no scraps. By cutting only one side of the envelope, there are no scraps left behind to mess up the workspace. This also reduces any possibility of a paper jam that could slow down the efficiency of the letter opener. The opened letters are stored in a convenient catch tray that can later be folded up and stored in the back of the base unit when it isn’t being used. Non-skid feet mean this 18 lb. machine is stable yet lightweight. It also has a power indicator light so the user will always know when the opener is on.
