Simple operation is the key for any home or personal office, and the HSM Securio C18 P-4 cross cut paper shredder delivers. After switching on the unit, simply begin feeding your documents and the unit will automatically begin shredding. The unit will then automatically stop once the last sheet is detected. Shredding between 10-11 sheets at a time, the HSM Securio C18 cuts your documents into 5/32" x 1" cross cut particles. In total, the Securio C18 produces an incredible 603 confetti-cut particles per page. For those eager to feed more than the accepted sheet capacity, a paper jam is inevitable. These jams can be easily eradicated with the JamStop Anti-Jam technology. When a jam is detected, this Securio model automatically switches into reverse mode until the jam is fixed. The P-4 model not only handles paper, but also accessory items such as staples and paper clips, as well as credit cards. The 100% solid steel cutting cylinder tears through your documents and materials with ease.
The C18 is the first of the Securio's to offer a control element with visual cues for operational status. Surrounding the power button the user will find symbols for bin open, bin full, and paper jam. If operation stops, the user can determine the cause with just a glance. Even the removable 6.6 gallon waste bin features front inspection window for easy monitoring.
The HSM Securio C18 while not a high volume shredder, still has the same capabilities and features as many of the high volume, commercial shredders. Weighing in at 11.4 lbs., the Securio C18 offers dimensions of 11 1/3" D x 14 2/5" W x 21 1/3" H. Although a small unit, this shredder offers some of HSM's most popular features. Power saving mode, or Zero Energy Stand-by, ensures the user that no power is consumed while the unit is in stand-by mode. In addition to energy savings, the HSM Securio offers " Whisper Shred" technology, which reduces operational noise to a whisper. For home or personal offices, the HSM Securio C18 delivers consistent results and includes several beneficial features.

HSM Securio (Models C14, C16, C18, AF100) – Home / Small Office Shredders
Failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. A Maximum of one replacement unit is authorized during the warranty period. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from date of invoice.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
