Description of HSM Classic 105.3 Cross Cut Shredder
In 1987 HSM introduced their Classic line of shredders and it's no surprise that these shredders have more than lived up their name. The Classic 105.3 Cross-Cut Shredder is constructed of high quality components made in Germany. The hardened 100% solid steel cutting heads come with a lifetime warranty and are sure to withstand many years of heavy use. The powerful continuous duty motor provides reliable, high level cutting capacity even during periods of extended use.
The 105.3 offers the added security of cross-cut shredding. The 9 ½" feed opening can handle 12 to 14 sheets at once along with the occasional staple or paper clip. It shreds them to 1/8" x 1 1/8" sized pieces which meets security level 3/P4 requirements. As simple to use as it is powerful, it's controlled by an on/off rocker switch with an integrated reverse feature to assist in clearing paper jams. The automatic on/off feature means shredding begins when paper is inserted and stops when shredding is complete. The machine will also stop automatically when the 8.7 gallon shred bin is full or if the bin has been removed. The bin itself features a handy inspection window so the waste level can be easily monitored at a glance.
When it comes to practical design, HSM has all the bases covered. The enclosed housing of the 105.3 serves a dual purpose.
