Description of the Formax FD 8850CC Industrial Shredder
The new Formax FD 8850CC Industrial Shredder is flexible and secure, perfect for high volume shredding jobs. The Formax 8850 has two separate infeeds, a large upper infeed, with a rotating bin to handle high-volume inserts, and a standard frontal infeed, with a fold-away shelf for easier feeding. These two infeeders accept a variety of media, such as stacks of continuous computer paper, crumpled paper, credit cards, CDs/DVDs, computer disks, and USB flash drives. The enclosed housing protects against the spread of unwanted paper dust, and also provides for quiet operation. Should a problem occur, simply press the large safety button on the front and the shredder will instantly shut off. As an extra safety precaution, the main power switch can be secured with a padlock, guaranteeing only authorized staff will be able to use the shredder. Like most Formax shredders, the 8850 comes with the Auto Start/Stop function, Door Safety Sensor, LED control panel, and Auto Reverse mode. The manual mode allows for continual operation when shredding small sized paper or films. The Formax 8850 is super fast, capable of shredding 46 feet per minute and up to 80 sheets at a time. As a level 3 security shredder, the Formax 8850 produces a shred size of 1/8” x 2”. The EvenFlow™ Automatic Oiling System, though usually an optional feature, comes standard on the FD 8850CC. This system maintains the cutting blades and keeps the shredder running in optimal operating condition. The sturdy waste bin located at the front of the shredder is mounted on casters, making relocation and waste disposal a piece of cake. This shred bin can hold up to an amazing 77 gallons, dramatically decreasing the number of times the user will have to dispose of the waste.
