Description of the Formax FD 8802 Cross Cut Shredder

The Formax FD 8802 Cross Cut Shredder has extremely powerful shredding capability. The Belt-Feed Industrial Shredding System is designed to shred heavy-duty material, such as cardboard, stacks of computer forms, entire files, tapes, ribbons, CDs, and magnetic disks. This Formax FD 8802 Cross Cut shredder can shred up to 90 sheets at once, with speeds of 40 feet per minute, and a Security Level 3 shred size of 1/4" x 2". The user-friendly LED control panel has an integrated digital load indicator and built-in sensors. The user can choose from two operation modes: Automatic or Manual. Optical sensors within the feed opening detect paper and automatically start or stop shredder power. With the Manual mode, the shredder operates continuously for continual feeding and shredding small sized paper or films. The front cabinet door provides easy access to the mobile waste bin and gives the user flexibility to save space and place the shredder against the wall. One great feature is the waste bin full sensor, which shuts power to the shredder when the bin reaches full capacity. The self-diagnosis system displays operational data for service technicians with the optional diagnostic reader. The Formax 8802 offers the Auto Cleaning function, which allows the motor to run in reverse for one minute and to clear out shred particles. Another new feature is the Large Safety Bar located at the front of the shredder that stops operation. The safety key and lock ensures that the user has maximum control of the shredder.
