Description of the Formax FD 8702 Multimedia Shredder
The FD 8702CC Cross-Cut Multimedia shredder offers flexibility with two feed openings. The lower feed opening accepts up to 40 sheets of paper at a time. The second, upper feed opening is specially designed to shred a variety of media, such as multiple CDs, DVDs, DV tapes, and ZIP/floppy disks. The Formax 8702 is capable of shredding at a speed of up to 11 feet per minute, with a shred size of 5/32" x 1 5/8". Standard Formax features include the user friendly LED control panel with a visual load indicator, the long-lasting heat-treated steel blades, and a powerful AC geared-motor. The Formax 8702 offers a well-built construction with all metal cabinet with casters and all-metal gearing. The high-density waste bin has a shred capacity of up to 21 gallons, a 50% increase from the discontinued FD 8700CC. The optional EvenFlow™ Automatic Oiling System periodically lubricates the cutting blades based on motor run time, keeping the Formax 8702CC in peak operating condition.
