The 2404 cross cut paper shredder uses the "ESM" Energy Saving Mode to go into a sleep mode if it is on but unused for more than an hour, so it does not waste electricity. Stay safe when operating the 2404 thanks to the transparent safety shield which covers the feed opening and prevents you from getting anywhere near the cutting shaft.
