n general, yes. There is a reason that cross cut shredders are the norm in a variety of offices, businesses, and even government agencies. A typical cross-cut shredder provides level 3 security of shredded documents. Level 3 is defined as having shred that is no larger than 3/16” x 3,” which the NSA has determined to adequately destroy documents containing personally identifiable information (PII). This PII is present on bank and billing statements, credit card records, and even on any document containing a person’s full name. If this information got into the wrong hands, a person’s identity could be stolen, or worse.

e frequently have people calling up and asking if we provide a shredding service. When we respond with “no, we only sell the shredders themselves,” people start to wonder why. Since we already have the shredders, why not use a few of them and start a mobile shredding branch of the company? The quick and easy answer is that we specialize in providing secure destruction of your data and pride ourselves on customer service. Mobile shredding simply is not secure enough for us, nor should it be secure enough for you.

paper shredder is about as straightforward a product as you can get. The name says it all – this machine will shred your paper. Of course we can tell you that shredders don’t have to be limited to paper; many of the ones we offer can shred optical media as well, and there are specialty shredders for a variety of materials. Shredding CDs is still not the most unique application a shredder can have, however, and over the years we have heard tale of some very innovative uses for paper shredders.
