Description of the Akiles ProLam Ultra X6 Laminator

Designed for high volume commercial environments, the ProLam Ultra X6 laminator by Akiles combines the most up-to-date laminating technology with user friendly controls. Starting with the large 13" throat which can handle any size from small business cards all the way up to double letter size documents. The Ultra X6 uses 4 heated silicon rollers that evenly distribute heat from the core to the outer surface. The rollers also use a flex-tite spring system which ensures that even pressure is applied to the pouch laminate to produce clear, smooth, bubble-free results.

The X6 features an easy to use control panel with an LCD display. Speed, temperature, heat, and cold are set with just a touch of a button. For even more convenience, 2 programmable memory settings allow you to save your most used temperature and speed settings. The X6 can handle a 3mm up to 14mm pouch and a handy settings guide shows you which temperature and speed to use for each specific thickness. Not only is it easy to use but incredibly fast as well. The X6 laminates at a speed of 59" per minute which is over 300 letter size pouches per hour. Even when running the X6 remains cool to the touch thanks to its patented cooling system. When you're finished laminating simply press and hold the power button to begin the cool down mode. After the rollers have cooled the X6 shuts off automatically helping to extend your machine's life.
